Hyper-V to vCenter failover DNS settings
Hello everybody, We are running Zerto 7.5 update 4 on our environment, and we use to to replicate VM’s from a Hyper-V environment to vCenter. Since it’s a cross-hypervisor replication, we set Guest OS customization as on and also set manual networks and IP’s. However, NIC DNS settings are nowhere to be found on the […]

SQL server DB set to “simple mode” during upgrade
Hi, our database administrators have noticed that the SQL database for each Zerto Virtual Manager gets set to “simple mode” during an upgrade. They would like to know if Zerto intends for the database to stay in “simple mode,” or if it’s just set that way simply for the duration of the upgrade. I see […]

Changed provisioning type while failover
Hi I wonder why when we failover an eager zero provisioned VM, it does not just replicate itself, but rather changes to a lazy zero. It was SQL VM and has 4 hard disks which are all set eager zeroed at first but changed to lazy zero.

Protection during upgrade process
Hey Guys, I was wondering, during the upgrade of the ZVM, ZCM and ZRA’s, does Zerto buffer the changes made in protected VM’s during this time and write them once services are restored, or is the content written during the upgrade process lost? Thanks, Pete

Moving replication target of currently replicated
What I am reading indicates that I can migrate the ZRA to a new cluster + datastore and that the VM associated with the VPG will also move with it, is this correct?

Azure ZCA 7.5
I have two questions – 1. Is there going to be a published release date for Azure ZCA 7.5 upgrade? 2. What will be the impact of the upgrade for protected workloads using unmanaged disks (does Zerto handle the conversion – or does it need to re-seed to managed disks) – that is do I […]

Test Reminders API Call
I am trying to generate a report that tells me all the VPGs not set to “None”. We don’t utilize Test Reminders but since the default is 6 months, we often have warnings cluttering our Zerto environments for missed tests. We fix them one by one as they come up but we would like to […]

Zerto Environment Requirements
Hello team, We are going to migrate around 1100 VMs (source vSphere 6.7 with ESXi 6.0) from one datacenter (target vSphere 6.7 with ESXi 6.7) to another within 10 kms distance. There are 2 source Datacenters (say around 500+ VMs in each DC), will go to 2 new target Datacenters. Connectivity among them will be […]

Increase VPG journal limit
Hi, How can I increase the journal size for a VPG? I don’t see the advance option in edit VPG anymore? Getting the following alert: The journal for VM XXXXXXXX in VPG XXXXXXXX has reached its configured limit of 1048576 MB. Older checkpoints might be removed and the journal history might be reduced to make […]

VPGs replication to ZCA will randomly disconnect
All the VPGs replicating to one of my ZCAs will randomly disconnect. The ZCA is still pingable and all the services are running. Would like to know why this happens. I am running version 7.5 update 3.
