Site disconnection
Hi, we have successfully installed 4 vra on PROD and 3 vra on DR site. When we create a VPG on a vm which sits on one of the esxi host on PROD we are constantly getting site disconnection error. However when the vm is migrated to the other 3 host on PROD, it works […]

Changing UUID breaks VPG
As we are working within our new Zerto environment, we ran across a workload that required (for licensing) that the UUID of the VMs do not change when being orchestrated for testing recovery. We have found a solution to this problem by altering the source VMs to include the option “uuid.action = “keep” that will […]

Zerto in a multi-site VCSA
Aloha, We are moving from a 5.5/multi-vcenter to a 6.7U1 multi-site/single VCSA environment. At this point, I don’t see how Zerto would be configured. But first things first – trying to install Zerto on a new VM in the VCSA. I give it my root creds for the VCSA and the install throws an error. […]

VRA resources
Hi Group, I was wondering what everyone was doing for resources (CPU/Memory) on their VRAs? Currently the default is 1 CPU and 3 GB of RAM. I’ve just up the CPU to 2 and RAM to 8 GB.

Is there anyone using ZORGs with vSphere?
Hello, I was wondering if there is actually anyone out there using ZORGs along with vSphere? The use case that I have here is that if you use ZORGs you have to map resource pools to the ZORGs. However it is well known that using resource pool is not a neutral thing in case of […]

Journal best practices
We have a few VMs that we are protecting in our environment that are about 5TB in size. Data is constantly written/deleted. In these cases we are using Zerto mainly for protecting the OS. I am noticing that the Journal isn’t keeping up with all of these reads/writes. Is there any way to reduce the […]

AD failover, unable to sync NTP
When we failover test/live , our AD does not get the NTP time, due to the time difference between UTC time and EST time (5 hours behind) so every time we failvoer , we have to manually perform w32tm /resync /force to set the time before we can bring up other VPGs. Is there a […]

Delete from Disk greyed Out
We have a VM (several really) that was replicated using zerto to our vCenter (from a vCenter to our vCloud Director). This particular VM did a test failover and then the protected site had Zerto removed ungracefully. So the test was never cleaned up properly and the VM was still registered at the recovery site […]

Force Sync VPG question
When we did some failover testing on a DB VPG we had one DB not come up correctly. I was instructed to force sync the VPG and this corrected the issue. Is it possible to do a force sync on a VPG as a scheduled task or can it only be done manually via the […]
