Hello,
For application consistent snapshots using VSS, specifically for MS SQL Server, is it possible to do a restore and place the SQL databases into a loading state (norecovery or standby)? The goal would be to apply SQL transaction logs to roll the database(s) forward to a specific point-in-time.
Thanks,
Mike
Hey Mike,
I noticed that nobody had replied to your post. With Zerto you don’t need to do this. Simply use the point in time recovery in the journal to roll forward or back to different points in time. Whatever point in time you select the database will replay the transaction logs to the most recent point in time and come online in a working state, with no VSS required. Thanks,
Joshua
