using a single vCenter

I am looking to upgrade vCenter to 6.7 appliance.
We currently have two Windows vCenter’s for Zerto replication, one for our production site (Source) and one for our Disaster Recovery site (Target).

My question is can I run Zerto replication with just one vCenter managing both sites? Is it necassary to have two vCenter servers?

Hello Steven,

Mike from Zerto here. You can consolidate to one vCenter if you would like, but there are some considerations:
1. ZVM-to-vCenter relationship is one-to-one, so you would need to unpair the two ZVMs you have running at this time, and activate self-replication on your source ZVM to be able to replicate between hosts in the same vCenter. 2. Unpairing the ZVMs you currently have will delete all of your currently replicating VPGs, and those VPGs would need to be recreated to start the self-replication.
