I am trying to reduce the size of the journal without reducing the time span that it records.
How frequently does Zerto record checkpoints? Is this continuous with every write on the source system?
Is there a way to change the time between the writing of the checkpoints?
Does “Target RPO alert” have any impact on the checkpoint frequency or the sizing/growth of the journal? (or is it simply an alert setting?)
Hi Thomas,
Zerto continuously creates checkpoints and with environments that have optimal network and storage performance the check point interval can be as low as 5 seconds. These intervals as system defined and not available for change in the user interface. The target RPO alert is essentially an alert to notify a user if the RPO has breached their configured RPO threshold for some reason.
Thanks,
Shaun
